I know, I know, it's already almost the end of January. 2015 has started in a mad blur of activity following the visit of beloved relatives from South Africa. After showing them I hope, the delights of feeble snow, London where no one spekas English and the delights of rural Gloucestershire, they're now safely home and I can continue with normal life. Sob.
I'm anticipating a fantastic year with the launch of a new publisher and a whole load of new books too. I'll be doing more school visits, which I love, and am delighted to have been asked to be part of the Thornbury Arts Festival in April. I feel so privileged to live in such a culturally aware place...also cutlery aware due to the number of excellent eateries in the town.
I'll be doing a short talk and workshop at the festival and hope to meet some fabulous new book lovers. http://thornburyartsfestival.com/ . I'm also off to Yate Library again. I had a fantastic time with their Teen readers group in 2013.
And of course the swimming will continue. I still miss swimming in an outdoor pool, but being in any water, even if it is indoors under electric lights, makes me happy.
So, I'd like to wish everyone a belated Happy New Year. May this be the year that you find your wings and learn how to fly.
